Oh DMusic, my how you've changed...

I think I may have done this before. But anyway, just for reference (that wasn't the right word but you know what I mean) I won't be online much over the next few weeks. Because I'm pretty stupid, thoughtless and don't do what I'm told, I have buggered my hands up.
Anywho, the reason I'm telling you this is because I won't be able to comment on songs, answer shouts, reply to notes etc etc...
By all means, please shout or note me when you upload a song, I love to know, it'll just take me a few weeks to get it. I'm not ignoring you, I'm not trying to be rude, I don't prefer your best friend to you, I just won't be here to pick it up. So no offence.
Be good now y'all! Laters!

It's been too long...

A man gives his son an electric bass for his 15th birthday, along with a coupon for four bass lessons. When the son returns from his first lesson, the father asks, "So, what did you learn?"
"Well, I learned the first five notes on the E string." Next week, after the second lesson, the father again asks about the progress, and the son replies, "This time I learned the first five notes on the A string."
One week later, the son comes home far later than expected, smelling of cigarettes and beer. So the father asks: "Hey, what happened in today's lesson?"
"Dad, I'm sorry I couldn't make it to my lesson; I had a gig!"

Some FAQ's:

My name, 'IndigoGirl' has absolutely nothing to do with the band. It has everything to do with the song, by South African rock band, Watershed. I don't really know much about the band, Indigo Girls.

Shaka is short for Shaka Zulu, who was King of the Zulu warriors. I named my first pony Shaka Zulu and after we sold him it just stayed with me as a nickname among certain groups of people. I'm not actually sure why.

I'm not suicidal. I'm perfectly ok (well...I guess that's debateable ;) (Wink) ). I have no intention of killing myself. I'm not done with you yet. Everything is rainbows and butterflies.

I'm South African and have been living in Portugal for two years. I also lived in the UK for a few years but the less said there the better.

For the above reasons, my first language is English. My Portuguese leaves little to be desired, but my conversational (?) english has gotten worse as my Portuguese has gotten better. So I apologise for my grammer, but no, it's my first language. Really.

I have absolutely no idea what accent I apparently sing with, but I don't like it as it makes certain sounds like 'er' hard to pronounce. My speaking accent changes, I guess depending on what I'm talking about, but I'm not sure what specific accent I talk with either. I guess you'd have to ask someone who knows me really well.

I do love the Ramones. May they Rock In Peace.

I wear glasses. I think I'm probably legally blind by now :P (Razz)

3 guitars. Cort Zenox 22, Yamaha FG-300 and a crappy 3/4 scale nylon string classical acoustic I love dearly but that was only on my very first recordings. You won't hear it again, it has been relieved of all recording duties ;) (Wink)

When I record vocals I can't hear the guitar, I think I get asked this a lot because of singing in the wrong key, and that is probably why. I am working on it though! Just moved my recording location so hopefully now I will be able to hear it....

I don't actually have a problem with bassissts! Tehy are just easy to take the piss out of because they are personalityless, talentless and not good enough to play guitar.....just kidding, I actually played bass before guitar ;) (Wink)

Please do let me know when you have uploaded a new song. I WILL get round to it, I just can't promise you when because my connection sucks and my service provider blows. So between them I am dealing with a first class whore.

That's all the ones I can think of right now....

Hello again...

My internet connection is pretty weak so I'm not always able to stream a song fully first time round, sometimes I have to listen to songs in bits. When the song does stream, it costs money as an international download. So when my connection goes halfway through downloading a stream, I have to begin the stream back at the beginning, which adds to the download. For these reasons the amount I can stream per month is pretty limited and it can take a while to get back to you. So I'm really sorry if it takes me a few days to comment on one of your songs, unfortunately the crappy internet connections here are totally out of my control. I will try to listen to as many of your songs as I possibly can, you just have to bare with me!

Thanks!
Indy

Hello!

I'm so sorry for my absence and my consequent lack of response to shouts and comments, I'm going to try catch up with them now. Thanks so much to everyone who listened, I'll check your stuff out A.S.A.P To those that left songs to hear, I'll get round to them as soon as I can! My streaming ability is pretty restricted at the moment so I can't listen to everything at once but I'll do what I can. I'm also going to switch around the songs that are up to put in newer tracks on Monday.

Thanks!
Indy

New upload is a rework of my old bone scan song, Broken Glass.

Q: What is black and brown and looks good on a song writer?
A: A Doberman.

Q: What should you give a keyboard player who has everything?
A: A bass player to show him how to work it.

Q: What do you have when a keyboard player is buried up to his neck in sand?
A: Not enough sand.

Okey kokey, uploaded is a cover of the Evanescense ballad, 'My Immortal.' It's an old recording but I fixed it where I can, there's just some mouse clicks and inconsistent air hiss in the guitar parts.
Original is 'All I See' because I had nothing else ready to put up...

Q: Why do lead singers need instant replay on TV sports?
A: Because after 30 seconds they forget what happened.

Q: What do you do with a lead singer who thinks he's God's gift to women?
A: Exchange him.

Q: How are lead singers like lawn mowers?
A: They're hard to get started, they emit noxious odors, and half the time they don't work.
